Too many US troops and Iraqi civilians are dying in this awful Iraq war. This war began in March 2003 and there is no end in sight. It is about time that we all get together and make our voices heard. President Bush needs to enforce an exit strategy at the earliest. He has put our country into insurmountable debt because of this war. He is spending hundreds of billions of dollars that is urgently needed to support programs back home. Programs such as housing homeless, feeding the hungry, education and medical research are hurting.
There are anti-war protest rallies springing up everywhere here in the country. A huge anti-war rally was held in Washington this Saturday (1/27/07). Jane Fonda also known as “Hanoi Jane” by the conservatives for opposing the Vietnam war said that she would not stay quiet anymore and came forward to voice her dissatisfaction and demonstrate against the Iraq war. A civil war has already begun in Iraq. We need to bring back our US troops home as soon as possible. The pain, grief and violence is unbearable on both sides. We as people should not let President Bush send more troops to Iraq.
This Saturday yet again, twin bombs went off in a market claiming the lives of 15 Iraqis and 7 US troops. Innocent men, women and children are being blown up in schools, markets and in mosques daily. US is being perceived as the most hated country. It is sad but true. There is too much destruction, violence and bloodshed. Stop the war NOW!!!!!
